CSS pseudo-class :hover
:hover
is a CSS pseudo-class, and can be applied to an item that is in the hover state.
This pseudo-class refers to an item in the hover state, ie when the user points to an element with the mouse without
activating it (by clicking with the mouse on the item). The best known example for this is moving the mouse over a hyperlink in an HTML document. Other elements may also have a hover state. Note: :hover
support in Internet Explorer versions prior to IE7 is limited to hyperlinks (<a>
).
